USELESS, THUS ART.
Over the weekend of February 28th and March 1st, 2026, INTRINSC will transform EITO into a space that gives form to the theory of USELESS, THUS ART, as part of the official programme of Madrid Design Festival 2026.
The proposal brings together artists and designers who explore the blurred boundary between art and design, questioning utility, consumption and function as the lines that have historically separated both disciplines.
The aim is to reveal, with precision and sensitivity, how a designed object becomes art when it no longer responds to necessity but begins to generate meaning, exposing the potential of the useless as a creative, political, and aesthetic gesture.

Up to ten artists and designers will present their work at ©eito during Madrid Design Festival 2026, within a curatorial framework that questions utility, consumption, and the boundary between art and design. One selected piece, chosen by public vote, will participate in SUBASTA 2026 V1 in Casabanchel.
Event: Tardeo electrónico
During USELESS, THUS ART, the project expands beyond an exhibition through a programme of events; including cocktails, sound design explorations, performances, and intentionally “useless” experiences; that activate ©eito as a space to rethink use, value, and meaning in art and design.
As part of this programme, a "tardeo electrónico" will take place on Saturday, February 28, from 18:30 to 21:30. This private event will feature live electronic music and sound design by Ohbravasura, accompanied by cocktails and wines curated by Hryhorii Sokora.
